Great staff, friendly and always willing to help
I was born and raised in Maryland, and have had the joy of moving around the country to pursue my degrees and licensure. I received my bachelor’s degree in psychology from Elon University in North Carolina. In 2012, I received my master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Southern Oregon University, completing my internship at the Department of Veterans Affairs in White City, Oregon. I moved to Logan in 2012 and am a licensed clinical mental health counselor in the state of Utah. I have worked in residential and outpatient settings with children, adolescents, and adults.
My expertise extends to helping those affected by depression, anxiety, disruptive behaviors, eating disorders, and relationship issues. I work individually with adolescents and adults, as well as with couples and families, to help them create a fulfilling, joyful existence.
I believe that every person is deserving of respect and compassion. I am passionate about helping people discover, or rediscover, their unique resilience and capacity for happiness and fulfillment. My role is to assist you in identifying barriers to these things and help you develop new skills and resources to facilitate long-term healing and achievement of goals.
I am committed to meeting each of my clients where they are and helping them flourish into who they want to be. I approach therapy with a foundation of empathy, acceptance, and patience. Each person is unique, and therefore therapy needs to be individualized and centered around each client’s specific needs. I draw from a blend of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) to find what works best for each individual.
When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, son, and our 2 dogs. On the weekends you can likely find us out in the canyon hiking, rock climbing, or snowboarding.
