Jeremy completed a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from University of Utah, a Master of Social Work from University of South Carolina, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Drug and Addictions. During his time in South Carolina he worked with adolescent programs dealing with many varied scenarios – a residential treatment center for adolescents and their families struggling with oppositional defiant disorder, conduct disorder, substance abuse counseling, child oncology, trauma, and grief. He also worked as an intern and later was hired at an adolescent psychiatric unit in a hospital setting.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Jeremy has worked in the private practice setting for the past 8 years. He frequently works with children, adolescents, and adults. He has experience and expertise helping people affected by depression, disruptive behaviors (oppositional defiant disorder and conduct disorder), bipolar disorder, anxiety (including OCD and panic), ADHD, trauma, marriage and family therapy, divorce adjustment, addictions (substance, pornography and sexual), and eating disorders. He also works with couples and families to repair, mend, and strengthen their relationships. Jeremy regularly works with individuals, couples, and families.

Jeremy’s approach to treatment is individualized and client centered, based on unconditional positive regard and acceptance. Jeremy demonstrates empathy, compassion, and a desire to understand. From this foundation, Jeremy uses an eclectic blend of cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), interpersonal therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), collaborative couple’s therapy, and family systems theory.

Jeremy loves more than anything spending time with his wife and children.  He is happiest whenever he can participate in sports or watch one of his kids play sports or another activity. He’s a huge Utes and Jazz fan, but accepts clients of all fan bases.
